When does my cover begin?
Your cover starts the day after the cover commencement date.
Does the premium increase with age?
No, your premium does not increase with age.
Is there a maximum benefit for injuries caused by the same accident?
The maximum benefit paid for all injuries caused by the same accident is $7,500 on the $25,000 level of cover and $15,000 on the $50,000 level of cover.
How do premiums work for Personal Accident Insurance?
Your Personal Accident Insurance premium is based on the level of cover you choose ($25,000 or $50,000). It does not increase with age.
From time to time, we may change the Personal Accident Insurance premium for all policyholders to allow us to cover rising claims costs and better support our members’ needs. You’ll be notified at least 30 days in advance if your premium will change.

Once you pay your first 90 days’ premium, you will be entitled to have the date your policy is paid to extended by six weeks. HCF may take up to six weeks to process the extension.

When answering these questions, please remember you have a duty to take reasonable care not to make a misrepresentation. A misrepresentation includes a statement that is false, partially false, or which doesn’t fairly reflect the truth. It’s not a misrepresentation if you don’t answer a question or if your answer is obviously incomplete or irrelevant to the question asked. So it’s important that you answer any questions in the application process honestly and correctly, and to the best of your knowledge. The duty applies until we issue your cover and extends to making changes to your policy and reinstatements.
This insurance cover is provided under a consumer insurance contract. Your answers to these questions affect the terms and conditions of your cover.
