When does the competition start and end?
- Competition Starts: 12:01AM AEDT on 1st of October 2022
- Competition ends 11:59PM AEDT on 30th November 2022
What does it mean if I am a winner of the second chance draw?
First draw winners had 3 months from being notified to redeem their prize code as per the Terms and Conditions.
A second chance draw was drawn on the 10th March 2023 with the new winners notified by email.
How can I enter this competition?
Take out an HCF cover between 1 October 2022 and 30 November 2022 by either:
(1) purchasing an HCF hospital and extras cover with a cover start date during the Competition Period directly through any HCF branch, online or through the HCF call centre under an HCF retail plan, or corporate or referrer plan where the discount does not exceed 10%, or through any HCF broker or agent
(2) have an existing HCF cover and upgrade this cover to hospital and extras cover, or
(3) have an existing HCF hospital and extras cover and upgrade the hospital and / or extras cover to a higher level of cover.
Both options 2 and 3 above exclude upgrades to or from hospital and extras cover issued under a corporate or referrer plan. You must also pay your first premium or upgraded premium by, and maintain your cover until, 30 November 2022. For full details please view Terms and Conditions.
If I am a current HCF member, can I still enter this competition?
Yes, you can do this two ways:
(1) if you have an existing HCF cover (excluding a cover issued under a corporate or referrer plan) with Hospital Only Cover, Extras Only Cover or Ambulance Only Cover and you upgrade this cover to hospital and extras cover (excluding hospital and extras cover issued under a corporate or referrer plan) between 1 October 2022 and 30 November 2022. For example, member has Hospital Only cover and takes out Mid Extras; or
(2) if you have existing HCF hospital and extras cover (excluding hospital and extras cover issued under a corporate or referrer plan) and upgrade your Hospital and/or Extras cover to a higher level of cover (excluding a policy issued under a corporate or referrer plan) between 1 October 2022 and 30 November 2022. For example, member has Hospital Bronze Plus and Mid Extras and upgrades to Hospital Silver Plus and retains Mid Extras.

Will I be eligible for the competition if I join HCF through a Corporate plan?
Most new members that join through a Corporate plan during the competition period will receive an entry to the competition if they meet the other eligibility criteria and provided the discount they receive through the Corporate Plan does not exceed 10%. You can confirm with the consultant who assists you with your new HCF policy if your membership will receive an entry. If you are joining through a microsite and are concerned you do not meet the criteria, please contact HCF on 13 13 34 or email service@hcf.com.au

Will my entry to the competition affect my eligibility for other joining offers?
No. All members who meet the competition eligibility criteria will receive both an entry to the competition and any joining offer they are eligible for through their Corporate or Referrer plan (provided the discount they receive through the Corporate or Referrer plan does not exceed 10%). You can confirm with the consultant who assists you with your new HCF policy if your membership will receive an entry. What if I don’t want to be part of this competition?
If you don’t want to be part of this competition you can opt-out by emailing 90bdaycomp@hcf.com.au before 11:59pm AEDT on Wednesday 30 November 2022 and will be removed from the competition.
