HCF WINS NATIONAL CANSTAR AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING VALUE
- HCF Australia takes out 2021 Canstar national Outstanding Value Health Insurance Award
- Sixth consecutive year of recognition
- More state based awards won than previous years
September 15, 2021: HCF Australia is proud to announce it has once again been awarded Canstar’s national Outstanding Value Health Insurance award for 2021, for the sixth consecutive year.
The national award was supported by 15 state-based awards, which demonstrate outstanding value for money across Hospital, Extras and Packaged Cover products for HCF’s more than 1.7 million members across Australia.
HCF Chief Executive Officer Sheena Jack said the award recognised HCF’s commitment to put people before profit.
“As Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, everything we do is for our members. These awards make it clear to new and existing members they can have confidence HCF offers outstanding value in a competitive market,” Ms Jack said.
“We’ve grown significantly stronger than the rest of the industry over the past five years. Over the past year alone, we’ve grown 5.3 per cent compared to the industry average of 3.2 per cent.
“We are focussed on continuing to to put downward pressure on premium increases while supporting the value of our products, so we can ensure members have access to healthcare that is more affordable, and high quality.”
Canstar analysed 2,735 hospital policies, 2,822 extras policies and 12,106 package policy combinations from 26 health insurers to find the ones that offer Australian consumers the best value for money in 2021.
Canstar Ratings Manager Josh Sale said HCF performed strongly across the nation.
“HCF continues to provide outstanding value to Australians looking for private health insurance, with a suite of hospital and extras policies that have been tailored to suit a range of people with different health needs and at various life stages,” Mr Sale said.
“HCF’s hospital cover, in particular, stood out in the research. Recent premium increases have been kept well-below market averages for HCF’s Bronze Plus and Silver Plus hospital policies. These hospital policies can be coupled with a range of HCF’s award-winning extras policies to suit many needs.”
